Crosspost: UK GDP 2012 Q1, We’re Doomed Edition

From the essential Britmouse because I’m too busy to blog this week but the UK’s economy is still going down the pan.

It’s worse. Q1 had 0.2% NGDP growth, annualized rate, since 2011 Q4. Seasonally Adjusted Annual Rates for the last five quarters:

Quarter Nominal GDP GDP Deflator Real GDP NGDP at Basic Prices
2011Q1 3.9 3.0 0.8 1.7
2011Q2 1.3 1.5 -0.4 1.0
2011Q3 3.7 1.1 2.5 2.3
2011Q4 2.2 3.7 -1.2 2.2
2012Q1 0.2 1.5 -1.2 1.1

We’re doomed.
