Paul Though Cowards Flinch neé Bickerstaffe Record has suggested a top Blogposts contest to rival the Total Politcs Farce of a Top Blogger conter.
Top Bloggers contests tend to be dominated by the big names, which is how Tom Harris has done so bizarrely well. A top blogposts contest would challenge that dominance by making people vote for something that challenge, educated or entertained them.
I’m a fairly infrequent “Selected Reading”-er but I’ve just found one of my top ten so I thought I would share it and a few other good’uns I found recently.
- Leaping into my top 10 is Welfare handouts, idle people and Portillo’s clanger from Hagley Road to Ladywood. Which uses actual facts to discuss benefits and those receiving them. It makes a refreshing change from Paul Dacre’s Lies and Prejudice.
- A Very Public Sociologist has been treating us to a discussion of Marx and Foucault. Not for everyone, but for those interested it’s a real treat. This is the introductory post.
- Anton Vowl must have the constitution of on ox to deal with the filth he has to trawl through. When is a kidnap victim not a kidnap victim? When their a Sex Slave, it sells better dontchaknow.
